- Why We Like It
This tall walking boot protects and supports your foot, ankle, and lower leg while you recover from an injury. The tall design adds stability above the ankle, and multiple adjustable straps let you get a secure, personal fit.
The range of motion (ROM) dial locks the ankle at specific angles to limit certain movements, so the boot can be set to the stage of recovery your doctor recommends. A padded liner with two foam inserts cushions your foot and ankle, and the non-slip rocker sole helps you take a more natural step without marking floors.
It comes in five sizes, from X-Small to X-Large, based on your shoe size, and it's latex free.

Frequently Asked Questions
When the injury is above the ankle or the ankle itself needs holding rigid. Lower-leg fractures, high ankle sprains, Achilles repairs and most post-surgical ankle work go in the Tall boot because the shell braces the shin. For a foot or toe injury the Short Air Cam Walker Boot is lighter and easier to live with.
By shoe size, same chart as the Short. Men: XS under 4.5, S 4.5-7, M 7.5-10.5, L 11-12.5, XL 13-15. Women: XS under 6, S 6-8, M 8.5-11.5, L 12-13.5, XL 14-16. Size up if you'll be wearing a bulky dressing.
The dials on each side lock the ankle at a set angle or allow a controlled range of movement. Your surgeon or physio sets the angle and usually opens it in stages as you heal. Leave it where they set it unless they've told you otherwise. The product manual is on the Manuals tab.
No. The rocker sole is non-marking and non-slip. It's designed for indoor and outdoor use.
Lift the padded liner out and wipe it with a damp cloth, then air dry straight away. Don't submerge it or machine wash it. The shell wipes down the same way.
That depends on the injury and it's a question for your surgeon. Some fractures need the boot on at night in the first weeks; others don't. If you're told to sleep in it, loosen the straps a notch so swelling has somewhere to go.
