This one holds the hand as a unit with a thumb loop, and comes in left and right versions with sizing, so it's the more tailored fit for a wrist injury, tendonitis or carpal tunnel.

Yes. That's the main use. The rigid splint holds the hand still while you sleep so it doesn't curl, and the padding is soft enough for all night. Loosen the straps a touch if your fingers tingle.
Pull the rigid splint out, machine wash the cover cold with like colours, air dry, then put the splint back. Don't wash it with the splint in.
It's commonly used for that. The neutral position helps prevent the hand tightening into a flexion contracture. But the angle and wearing schedule should come from the occupational therapist, and they may prefer the Resting Hand Splint if the fingers need separating. Ask before buying.
