A bariatric commode on a stainless steel frame with a 6-quart pail. It works bedside, over the toilet, or as a raised seat, and folds without tools.
Stainless steel or coated steel?
Coated steel is cheaper and perfectly fine in a dry bedroom. Stainless earns its price in a bathroom. Commodes live in humid air and get wiped down with disinfectant several times a day, and on a coated frame every chip in that coating becomes a rust spot, usually starting at the leg tips and the height-adjustment holes. Stainless has no coating to chip. If this is going in a bathroom or will see daily cleaning, choose stainless.
